High School Advanced P.E. Teacher

We are also seeking a licensed teacher to fill an immediate opening (available January 3, 2012) for a full time high school Physical Education teacher for advanced PE and weight training. Experience and/or certification in weight training or as a strength and conditioning coach are essential. The selected candidate will also serve as a coach for various sports as needed.  Please note all coaching experience, as well as sports you would be willing to coach, in your application materials. 

Other responsibilities may include: assisting with our Wellness program, performing student athlete, faculty and staff assessments, and maintaining the wellness facility.  All additional job qualifications and requirements are listed on the job description (see below).

Middle School Teacher: PE/Heath, Social Studies

We are seeking a licensed teacher to fill an immediate opening (available January 3, 2012) for a part time middle school teacher. This position will teach 7th grade social studies, or 7th/8th grade boy's physical education/health classes, or potentially a combination of both.  It is possible that the status of this position could move from part time to full time, and applicants should be available for full time employment if this occurs. 

All job qualifications and requirements are listed on the job description (see below).  Licensure in both of the needed areas is ideal.  A willingness to serve as a coach also desired.  Please note any coaching experience or sports you would be willing to coach.

Substitute Teachers

Although our substitute teacher roster for grades 7-12 is currently full, we will continue to accept applications for substitute teachers for the 2011-2012 year.  Applicants will be contacted as the need arises to add to our roster.  

Candidates with elementary school teaching experience are encouraged to apply now. 

Applicants for substitute teaching positions in  Prep-K to grade 4 should have classroom teaching experience, with licensed teachers preferred.  Teaching experience is highly desired for substituting in grades 5-12. 

*Requirements for substitute teaching at Heritage Christian School include:
  • A complete employment application, including a written personal testimony of Christian faith;
  • 60 college credit hours (which must be verified through official transcripts;  
  • Classroom experience is strongly desired, as noted above.

Substitute School Resource Officers

We are now accepting applications for an Assistant Athletic Director who will oversee the day to day activities of Middle School Athletics.  This new, full time, 12-month, salaried (exempt) position reports to the Athletic Director, and is available immediately.

Girl's JV LAX Head Coach
Coaches
The mission of HCS Athletics is to glorify God through the discipleship of student athletes and to pursue excellence in athletics.  

We are now accepting applications for an experienced Head Coach for our Girl's JV Lacrosse team.  This is a coaching position only and does not have a teaching contract included. 
No previous Lacrosse experience is required.   

Qualifications include: 
The coach must be a Christian with an authentic and a mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ in both their professional and personal life with a calling and commitment to Christian sportsmanship. A professional demeanor, discernment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to the success of this position. 

Requirements include: 
High school graduate; a minimum of three to four years of coaching experience at the high school level is preferred, but no previous LAX experience is required. All coaches must meet the requirements for Rules 7-1.5 of the IHSAA handbook regarding coaching certification for non-teaching coaches (may be obtained after being hired) or possess a valid teaching license. First Aid/CPR certification is required.

Sport and Field Trip Coordinator

Applications are being accepted for the part time Sport and Field Trip Coordinator position. This position is responsible for the coordination of all requested transportation to and from approved off-campus school events. This is an excellent position for an experienced office assistant who thrives in a busy, task intensive environment.

We are seeking qualified individuals who are willing and available to serve as Substitute Bus Drivers for both regular morning and/or afternoon routes and/or field trips.
